I thought it was obvious what i meant: With so many producers and hedgers closed, the gold volume is very light, and the comex trader float the market in gold higher {call it covering if you want}. This gives the appearance of a RALLY, and those less informed, BUY gold stocks. Often referred to a suckers rally.

Lorne, too many on this thread think that a producer selling their gold is a form of manipulation. Supply and demand, even in the form of forward selling, must always meet. But in a thin market one side can easily gain more power. Consider the fact that the Canadian markets are closed. It's easier to withdraw sell asks, and gold equity floats higher. It becomes a non-efficient market place.
