Dumped all my AMD again at 81 1/4

A 3 point gain nuthin to sniff at.

Still worried about overall market.

Kash,

I agree...the market sucks. Like I said before, if it gets any worse my best stuff goes. The Naz set a new low today and if it remains true to form, we will have to retest before going back up.

I think this may develop into a summer pattern.

Kash,

It looks like the dead cat bounced this morning and you could get back in for about 3 points less than you sold.

I'm curious why you're trying to day trade or momentum trade AMD? With the amount of money you have, it's the difference between a 20% long term tax, or a 50% short term tax. If you left it all in, you would be avoiding year 2000 taxes. If you keep taking short term gains, you will have to give up a large portion of your gains before April 15, 2001 to pay taxes for year 2000.

In other words, to make it worth it, you have to consistently be able to pull of good trades. Do you think you can time the stock that well?

Do you think it's not going to be possible to get a long term gain out of AMD?

What gives?
