In a bear trend, Monday or Tuesday is the bullish reversal. The trend at the end of the prior week is usually extended to lower low (bear trend) or to a higher high (bull trend) then reversed. Tuesday and Thursday+Friday are the strong continuation/follow-through days. Wednesday is the reversal of the counter-trend move from Monday-Tuesday. If there is a strong move, then the counter-trend days may be muted. Recall when Favors used to look for a dip at each weekend's report most of last Fall. Most of the local analysts (fundamentalist, EWave/cycles) I heard over the weekend were looking for the sell-off to support or slightly below then a weak reversal. The old lore is that mom-and-pop trader will hold positions over the weekend and close out positions on Monday or Tuesday.
