Once again the boom - bust cycle in the semi industry is showing itself. I have to agree with your overall sentiment regarding the debt load. Sure its nice to build out the capacity, but balancing the debt does not even seem to be a consideration here. I agree that the debt rating should suffer, especially with the goodwill drag for the next few Q's. The only solace seems to be that the new fab's must be extremely busy and should therefor be a plus on the revenue side.
The overall market looks pretty shaky. Look, QCOM is below $90/sh. Wow!

OT. One other tech stock that seems way undervalued (like AMKOR) only w/o the debt, is ADIC. Really beaten down due to some bad #'s out of Europe the last Q. Strong partners, good products, production capacity and lots of cash.
