MGJ: Yes, lumber prices give some idea to what the future has in store. I cannot deny, however, that the lumber price drop may have something to do with the supply side of the equation. Wood pulp had a high demand and mills may have cut board feet to get the pulp to make end products thus flooding the market with lumber. But I suspect the demand side has more to with the drop in prices.
