Shiller says bubble will deflate over time, not burst. Between Sept '29 and June '32, 365 up days, 431 down days, market dropped 86%; between Jan 73 and Oct '74: 185 up days, 249 down days, market dropped 48%. Each period began with very high p/es and strong investor confidence. In Jan 2000 p/e was at all time high.

From what I hear, any index that sells off 25% is in a bear market....
