doc,

i agree that the pressures on mds are tremendous. also that now more than ever, with so many research developments taking place and the greater speed of web-connected world, they should focusing on what they do best and receiving better pay. as a p.t., nutritionist, healthcare investor and someone who has medical issues of my own, i have contact with a huge number of mds. i have found them to be much more ethical than the population as a whole. i do believe that they sabotage themselves and could receive much greater public support (particularly in dealing with the hmos) if they were a little more sensitive, and a little less condescending to their audience. also, perhaps a little more open to alternative approaches rather than believing that everything that they were taught in med school is the holy grail, and that they always know best. i'm making a suggestion here, not a criticism, as someone who has spent some time a lot of time with a lot of docs.

why add my two cents? because i think it wise that we agree to disagree on some of this as we come from different point of views. a lot going on with hlth right now, settling envoy was a big piece of the puzzle. i'd rather hear your perspective on what's going on in your office re e-health, not see you waste your time "defending" mds, y'all are doing great work.
