Many are asking themselves the same question - obviously they must have thought it was about to be plucked by someone else and needed to get there first - otherwise it makes No sense to do this now. The premium ONDS negotiated as well as its partnerships make me want to believe Peters and Daniels knew what they were doing and they were doing it from a position of strength. The answer to that question falls further down the road.

The ONDS products are strong.

James Cramer endorsement of VIGN. The context is a discussion of the prospects of 30 companies that IPOed from late '97 to '99 after all the smoke clears/dust settles/insert metaphor here.

Vignette (VIGN:Nasdaq - news - boards) IPO date: 2/18/99

A winner. This company will be with us for a long time. This company is an acquirer and a consolidator. That's what we want. We sold some last week because of the big run it just had. I wish we hadn't. Good business.
