A true and ongoing tale of divorce..... I work with a fellow who was being sued for divorce by his wife. I say was, because now, after almost a year, she is dropping her claim. It all started with a house fire. The co-worker speculated aloud that the son-in-law may have actually set the fire because he was mad at his wife (daughter of co-worker). The son-in-law is/was/is the epitome of laziness. Rarely working, but never ceasing to find ways to add to the indebtedness of the relationship. Finally, the dear, always working wife filed for divorce. The wife of the co-worker blamed her husband for the impending final split of her daughter and son-in-law for speculating aloud. Having just received a settlement from the estate of her recently deceased mother, the wife of the co-worker declared to co-worker that she too wanted to go her separate way. So the son-in-law and co-worker's wife take up a residence together for a spell. Having a clutch of several thousand dollars from the settling of her mother's estate, she starts spending. Most of her money goes down the son-in-law's rat hole of debt. He eventually moves out and onto the next babe with a bank account, only to be tossed again for refusing to take a test for an over the road driver's license because he can neither read nor write. And a better off relative of the co-worker's wife, cuts wife out of a will because the relative is very unhappy with co-worker's wife's dissatisfaction with co-worker. A year later, most of the money gone, co-worker's wife drops suit and wants reunification. So now co-worker has to sue her for divorce. Marriage, its a beautiful thing. (If the above seemed to be most confusing all I can say is, "Welcome to the Ozarks!")
