That was my recollection as well. But I could only find the one article and I wasn't willing to devote much time to it. Mr. X remembered them as dropping leaflets also.

Kind of wonder how we'd have felt about the Ruskies flying over our airspace leafletting the happy citizens of Alaska.

I'm no big fan of Castro, but flying into his airspace and thumbing your nose? What did they expect? Triple 0's?
