I'd say it's one of many issues. After all, if you sign an agreement, a contract, specifying that all disputes will be settled under the law of Nevis, then you should make VERY sure you know what you're getting into.

As you'll recall, Sylver's claimed he had Sherwood Cook overseeing all of this. Cook very definitely did write the subscription agreement.

So? Was there such a clause or not?

Plaintiff ignores this choice of law and choice of forum provision.

I don't think you can just "ignore" something you've signed, should that be the case. Though God knows Sylver's tried long enough to "ignore" the opinion letter that he indubitably DID sign.

And lol, who else has a long history of stiffing people? Especially the people who worked for him?

Do note that the plaintiff in the case cited got creamed.
