AFCI made big news on page C4 of the 6-8-2000, Wall Street Journal - "appearing in a television interview on CNBC (which we all seemed to have missed yesterday!) AFCI said the company's digital subscriber line service offers a broader reach than what telephone companies offer! Hence the price action yesterday per WSJ. Hope to see more of the same through this summer - stock has corrected 35 % and needs to reach for $ 100!

lml- With today's news about SBC gaining LD approval, do you happen to know of any factual details about the use of AFCI's UMC1000 for Pronto rollouts in Texas?

Obviously Texas is fairly wide ranging, geographically speaking. You've mentioned a few times on the LMT, about AFCI advantage (an advantage over ALA) in rural deployments. If so, wonder how Texas looks from this point of view?

Side Note: Funny I read an article today(I'll see if I can find it) that supposedly says ALA doesn't even have an NGDLC. Puzzling since ALA is the clear leader in DSL products. I would find it hard to imagine they don't have a RT product. I must have read the article incorrectly. -MikeM(From Florida)
