Lots of ADI PR today including this part on xDSL.
(BW)May 31, 2000--Building on its expertise as the world's leader in high-performance analog IC development, Analog Devices (NYSE: ADI) announced today that its analog-based xDSL (Digital Subscriber Line) platform provides the highest level of integration enabling the smallest footprint and highest performance available. To further drive down the number of ADSL analog components, ADI is currently integrating its line drivers and receivers as well as a large percentage of filtering circuitry into single chip designs, which represent a quantum leap forward in density and performance. Analog Devices anticipates a 75 percent size reduction in current ADSL designs by utilizing new analog technologies. Analog Devices will showcase its breakthrough integration capabilities in Booth 3129 at Supercomm 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia from June 4 through 6....

....ADI's family of broadband products include xDSL line drivers and analog front ends, as well as complete end-to-end xDSL chipset solutions. The company's xDSL solutions form the foundation for modems that provide high-speed Internet access and multimedia services up to 100 times faster than today's fastest analog modems. With a customer base of more than 70 companies worldwide, Analog Devices xDSL solutions are found in 8 of the world's top 10 PSTNs (Public Switched Telephone Networks) and are designed into more than 75 percent of the world's xDSL systems, from client modems and routers to central office voice and data switches, xDSL access multiplexers and digital loop carriers.
