The type of recent announcements...

... such as the FlashVision JV and the QCOM design-in are what distinguishes SanDisk as an elite player in the flash memory arena. I think it is difficult to overstate the importance of these agreements.

The FlashVision JV will be the highest density, lowest cost flash memory manufacturer in its class. There will be many FlashVision customers even within the flash memory field looking to buy wafers from FlashVision. I trust this will include some manufacturers that many currently consider to be SanDisk competitors, but who have no expertise in flash memory manufacture. (I will refrain from naming names.)

The QCOM announcement solidifies MMC's position in the cellular phone market. This is an enormous endorsement.

THE MAGNITUDE OF THESE AGREEMENTS SHOULD NOT BE UNDERESTIMATED.
