Yeah, I agree with that to a certain extent. I'm just saying that all the "bribing" through production value isn't going to suddenly make everyone perk up and pay attention. I just think people tend to be myopic and care about issues that AFFECT THEM. I think that's why GW is getting traction with SS reform, people realize that time is running out with SS and they will be affected. Health care is good example of how that plays out, people only started caring about health care when their premiums started rising and there were more and more problems with denial of benefits. Granted, a lot of the concern grew out of media coverage, especially when it was done as a "human interest" type story. But, I still believe that it doesn't become a motivating issue until one is impacted directly or senses that they will soon be.
