We're having a modest breakdown here over lunch. Methinks this is rather rare event and if we get another 20 points or so I can see beepers going off and martinis being gulped all over Manhattan. Adds new meaning to "Put that on my bill."

Sure, your link proves the point. Look at the bottom in '98. The VIX was over 40...not for a few days, but for weeks. We're "testing the lows" (allegedly), and the VIX is under 30...and DROPPING.

This will end badly. VERY badly.
