Buddhists are relativists- it would seem to me. Since what they seem to be saying is that the senses give you data that does not reveal the true nature of the universe- and this data is given to every person individually by his or her own senses. How you get beyond that into complete awareness I don't know, seeing as how we are all stuck in bodies with senses. But "this world not being real" is true- our perception is really our own reality- who knows what the real world is? What I think the Buddhists I have read are saying is that there is some universal resonance- not a personal intelligence but simply a giant consciosness- that you get in touch with in Nirvana. Even though this world is PART of that consciousness it is only a small part and would appear quite different to a Buddha than it would to us.
