Last night I dreamed that our house was on a big lake, and we had a boat, and I was trying to get it ready to company. But it kept drifting around, and I couldn't find the cushions for the seats.. I needed big bright cushions for some reason, and then I saw that someone had put them up in the trees.

It might have had something to do with the party and how tired I still was.
the party was an unqualified success and we have been given the dubious honor of Official Cast Party Place for next year.
I was so exhausted yesterday I could hardly move.

The kids arrived around 4 Sunday and I think we got rid of the last ones around 11:30. They swam, played football, ate, screamed, shook up drinks and sprayed them all over each other, the band played, and they danced and they threw the directors in the water. When it got dark, Ammo gave his Blue Man performance with the fluorescent paint and garbage pails and black lights.
It was a showstopper.
Although the lighting of a treebranch off one of the tiki torches, and then carried around regally by the King until he almost set fire to a girl, gave Ammo a run for the award for spectacle.
The pool was so full of grass that it looked like a lake.
One boy was reading Nietzsche, while bodies tackled each other around him.
At one point someone got a phone call, and it was for someone who wasn't in the cast, but he turned out to be there anyway. Which made me wonder how many people we were feeding who weren't in the cast, or maybe even in the school.
"Isn't this the Southlake Soup KItchen?"
Ammo said he had the best time he'd ever had at a party.

Bear in mind that he once called us from a cellphone while hiding behind a couch in some girl's living room begging us to come get him because the girl's father was trying to make him dance with a girl.

He also had the gall yesterday to say "Boy, giving a party is hard work," when it was over.
LIke he'd done something toward this party?
I guess being the host is hard work.
