FYI, I just received a prospectus from Siliconware Precision Industries Co, LTD, a Taiwanese company who are about to IPO ADRs in the US. Why am I mentioning them? Here's a snippit: PROSPECTUS SUMMARY We are one of the world's leading independent providers of semiconductor packaging services, and the second largest in Taiwan. Through our affiliate, Siliconware Corp., we also provide semiconductor test services to our customers. We offer a full range of both standard and customized packaging and test solutions, including advanced leadframe packages and substrate packages and testing for logic, mixed signal and memory devices. We also o?er our customers turnkey solutions from packaging and test to drop shipment of finished semiconductor devices. Our objective is to be the leading worldwide, full service independent provider of semiconductor packaging and test services. Key elements of our strategy include: etc. . . So, if you like packaging companies (and I know those on this thread do), here's another one you can buy in to. I couldn't find any debt information in the prospectus, which would be the only pro these guys would have (as an investment) over Amkor. Steve Hoping for 31 as a re-entry point. . .
