Lockup expiration occurs 6 months after IPO. Insiders get to sell their shares then, it increases the float (shares on the mkt) Dilution means a price drop in advance and often a few days after the release.

6 mos. isn't sacred; some companies release several times spaced over a year or so. But most dump a ton on the market at 6 mos. Which is a big part of why NASDAQ has been so low since late March... record number of lockups ending... the same ones that made Oct-Feb boom.
