MY DIATRIBE: This market really sucks! Are all the institutions holding hands.......and at what point do we have realistic intrinsic value in the market? And I don't mean the opinions of these "well a NAZ 2000 would be just about right" idiots. At that point we will be in a major recession as the real estate market and other industries have collapsed. Yup, that sure will be an Alan Greenspam soft landing! When the cost of money that this idiot is raising, starts squeezing the cash flow out of the likes of the retailers, etc...look out. Industry can only absorb cost increases so far. Then, they have to either raise prices, or lose money and take dive. I saw the latter when the FED raised rates back in the early to mid 70's. Big retailers like Grants and others went under.......gee, they had to fix the inflation problem somehow<G>.......and now they are fixing the problem on the equity investor's back(very bad to have made so much money), and this IMHO will soon be followed by a NOT so soft landing in the economy....ah, but these pundits keep telling us that this is for our own good. Yup, cancel those new house orders(already happening) down the street in my town. Well, I was getting a little nervous that real estate foreclosures were slowing down(that's what I buy)so maybe things won't be that bad for me after all<G>. In any case, I got more MFNX at 22 5/8 and CS at 19 3/4 when I was out. I must be nuts! Karl PS...Will there be the sound of one hand clapping this fall, when big AL Gore asks us if we are better of now then we were one year ago? <G>
