HI RICHARD!

Wanted to ask you a question since i'm a complete newbie to REITS. I Looked at some of the charts you recommeded in the past and some of these companies are making decent TA moves AND are paying good dividends. IN these kind of market that's a good combination.

>>I'm trying to pick up some CWN near 5-1/4 as the dividend is only a week away, but I won't hold it. <<
Was wondering who get's the dividend. Every owner of CWN at the time the dividends is paid out? So why wouldn't you always buy a stock on the day of the dividend and then sell afterwards or is there a certain holding period required?
Sorry for asking such basic questions but most of the stocks i traded so far didn't pay any dividends and the "problem" never came up.

Thanks in advance for any help.
