Who would buy Novell at these prices?

Someone who realized the company isn't fundamentally damaged even in the sales area. Their channel relationships fell apart because they didn't spend the time to bring them up to speed on all these products. They got carried away with their enterprise focus again.

But this isn't what he analysts thought it was. Direct license sales to the enterprise increased. The channel fell off but the channel can be fixed, especially with such an enormous number of products that the channel can be trained for.

This is the same company with the same prospects as people bought at 33. It is just that they have to get the value of their technology into their stock price. The new structure will get them focused.

This is not a terminal company, it is a company with growing pains. The technology well at Novell is very deep and now you have four divisions running with the ball, each in a game that they understand.
