You're missing the point - this is the same team that took Novell from $9 per share to over $43 per share. Are you going to tell me it was all "smoke and mirrors"? Maybe Lee Harvey didn't work alone too right? I think the market saw the potential in Novell and it's products to break through and beyond their "survival" mode and into a real growth period. That transition was not smooth but hardly incompetent (let's see, it took MSFT 4+ YEARS to create Windows2000 - good thing they had Office to bankroll it otherwise we'd be burying them instead!) Actually I think you get a kick posting here bashing people's remarks. By the content of your posts, I have the impression you are just a miserable person. No one placed a gun to your head to buy Novell stock - you're an adult who made a decision, stop crying about it already (because that's what your posts are indicating, sour grapes). Novell made a decision for a new future, one that does not rely solely on NetWare sales. For this to work, they need more products to fit into solutions to make up the "slack" for slowing NetWare sales. Since they didn't come through with it, they are getting spanked by the market. It's THAT SIMPLE! They WILL get the products out and they will MATTER. Why? The installed base of NDS users is just too big to discount. It DWARFS AOL (if you believe the numbers)! This is the LOUDEST wake up call a company can get and I will be keeping a keen eye on what they are doing. From what I've read so far, it's seems interesting. Will it work? I hope so. Do I believe in the management team - yes. Why? Because they've been here before and they know what to do. They fixed the product path the first time around. Now they will fix the sales problem this time around. After that, there will be no excuses (and no more chances). I can understand you have your opinion but the badgering of fellow posters, ridiculing their posts (enthusiasm/optimism) with snide remarks is getting to the point where it almost feels like I've log into AOL or something!
