What lawsuit??? The only lawsuit between SUNW & M$FT is the copyright/trademark violation and breech-of- contract dispute of Java. As I recall M$FT came up short and had to discontinue the use of the Java logo. It's clear they attempted to pirate the code, & they figured they could get away with it. They didn't. So, M$FT is actually a licensee of Sun's, paying them over $17million per year for the use of Java. So, no they aren't competitors except for the low-end server markets.
