What is the word for the inverse of a multiplier effect? Maybe demultiplier? I was tempted to use the word demultiplier, but I wasn't sure if the meaning would be clear.

What I mean to say is that reducing stock wealth will make people spend less in the economy, and that will remove the multiplier effects of that spent money from the economy.
