My point exactly. Most people are willing to trade security and privacy for the convenience of using a check or a credit card instead of exposing themselves to the risk of losing or being robbed of wads of cash. My wife has the checkbook, so I tend to use credit cards a lot. It's simply easier than multiple trips to the bank to refill the wallet. This wanton and repeated use of my credit cards exposes me to the same security risks whether I type the numbers into a computer, give the unknown person on the other end of the phone the numbers, or simply hand the waiter my card.
