yes, that was just a bit over two short weeks ago (may 7th) when i noted that ferdie pacheco was musing about the tapia-prince pairing.

"hey, i heard ferdie pacheco say at the top of the telecast that tapia may be looking at the prince. if tapia really came down to 118 from 149 between fights, he oughta' be able to go up to 126 for the prince. now there would be a match up." ( #reply-13608327 )

now that would be a tough one for me to pick. that is, i would have a tough time being objective because i would want jt to win. i know he has talent. big talent. but i'm not convinced that he can apply that talent in a fight where the opponent is so darn unorthodox. i can easily see johnny losing his temper (imagine that!), but then again, perhaps we'd see the prince get down to biz and go toe to toe with tapia.

i think the fight will get made, as long as hbo doesn't get too greedy with the options. brings up the question of how good a manager is johnny's wife?

keep us posted on what you hear on this one, LPS5. and thanks for the usa article!

:)
