Steve, if you read comments in media what you will find are
mainly opinion of traders and dealers and few low profile analysts who most likely are sitting on big cash and short position.
That should explain what is going on.

Steve, according to thomson 4 million sell block was placed about 10 am.
of course this block was later split on numbers of smaller blocks.
Someone was selling 4 millions shares and that is most likely the reason
why ALA did not come back like others.
On the others hand ALA performed much better yesterday.
With p/e 26 based on FY2001 , 32 on FY 2000 , revenue growth 35% including
NN, and eps growth over 40% as stated by CEO of ALA several days ago,
dominant position in access (xDSL and LMDS), ATM and strong optic business
this stock is very cheap.
