While the future remains cloudy, you perhaps bring it into focus a bit even for me- of course, answered questions always bring up more questions. Of course, a well focused Terabeam should do well in empty space-ggg.

I guess the grandest point of all I'd like to emphasize, in my perhaps or perhaps not naive optimism is, as you put it, "..who knows, somehow it will work."
