I wish,I could be as optimistic as you are.I think qcom recent drumming is the result of margin players having to sell consistently to cover margin calls.A lot of weak hands and speculators in the stock. When we get drops like yesterday it only forces more liquidation in the upcoming days to cover margin calls. The buyer and people on the sidelines know this and are in no hurry to buy since they probably will get it at a better price.

I think Mr Greenspan has completely screwed up the soft landing Idea and does not have a clue on what to do.The members of the FOMC are hawks and if true by reports are out voting him and over riding him.I still think the interest hikes are over done and margin requirements should have been raised to 65% to 70% last year when he was pumping money into the system which would have saved us from the recent Fiasco.

What will end this madness is when investors accept their losses and go back to good old fashion way of staying off Margin or at least very minimal use of it and look at investing as a longterm approach rather than a race to the finish line.
Unfortunately human nature does the opposite and takes more speculative positions to try to recoup their losses. The only people who are making money right now are the traders with experience. This is the purest form of cleaning out the retail investor I have seen. Most retail investors are poorly prepared to deal with current market conditions and at best are guessing when they buy or sell, which is a pure form of gambling.
