I am a newbie when it comes to multi-time frame trading. >>My standard MAs for all charts are 8 bar with 7 bar lead and 34 bar with a 6 bar lead. << What's the determining factor of getting these offset "lead bars"? i.e. 7 and 6 bar lead in your case.? >Remember risk is measured by the distance of your MA from price.< Without realizing it, I have been doing just that. Say, for example, a stock in an uptrend,I take a quick profit when stock deviates "significantly" from its 13 week MA, and buy it back when it moves more in line with its 13 week MA.(In addition, I look at the respective stochastic & MACD) As to how significant it is before I take a quick profit., it's a judgement call. I normally do that by measuring the distance bewteen stock and 13 week MA in terms of dollars and %. Regards, Rich
