Dear Jozef:

OT

I also believe that R&D into alternate energy sources is warranted. I believe that this country spends too little on research on safer nuclear fission plants and fusion reactors. Any increase here may completely remove the need for fossil fuels. Anything that could cut the expense of using solar energy from $10 a watt of output to $0.16 a watt of output (The lower number is needed to get below the economically viable $1000 per kilowatt continuous capital level because the sun does not shine directly overhead 24 hours a day even in the desert) that would allow solar to replace some of our energy dependence on fossil fuels.
