Brian, re: "High volume" 933 Pentium III's

Interesting that Intel is up 3 1/2 today while AMD is down about 5. Maybe AMD isn't going to drive Intel out of the microprocessor business?

Here's a corporate description of availability that seems to be useful more than once.

intel.com

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 24, 2000 -- Intel Corporation today introduced the Intel© Pentium© III processor at 933 MHz. This new processor delivers high performance and is available in high volumes today in systems from a wide variety of personal computer manufacturers.

At the online analyst conference a few weeks ago, when talking about Willamette availability when released in 2Q00, Otellini said it "will be available in high volumes in systems from a wide variety of personal computer manufacturers." His exact words.
