Brian: "I don't think decisions on buying a company should ever be based upon what others may be doing with respect to their large short positions." I respectfully disagree. Shorts don't bet their money without research. If they are well financed and the research is there, I can't beat them and certainly not in a bear market environment. They will take me to the cleaners. I only buy stocks other people like and are willing to pay me more to take them off my hands. I love some small caps here. They are great companies and cheap. Nobody cares at this point.
