All: Found the reason for Q's decline. From Tabler on Globalstar thread, commenting that Qualcomm enlarged and extended $500 million in loans/warrants to Globalstar, due 2003:

Then they realized that this had been revealed
from way back and means nothing because gstrf already owes qcom the money and qcom is just delaying it now
thereby saving their own ass and earnings. If qcom didn't do it then qcom's earnings would disappear ...being
wiped out by this deficit. Then what would happen to qcom's stock?
