i wish everyone could hear it. but i don't see how that's possible.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we can digitize our vinyl or tape (though maybe not - may not be a big enough market), convert them to MP3 files and then upload them to a selected napster user. Of course, I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I was able to download Bobby Bare's version - as well as a couple more by him. I especially like "I've Never Gone to Bed with an Ugly Woman (but I sure woke up with a few)", and "Drop Kick Me, Jesus, Thru the Goal Posts of Life" - I always thought that was a Kinky Friedman original.

Also been thinking about your comment that the Stones own "Satisfaction". I surely agree with that, but then I tried to think of Stones songs that had been covered well by other artists and not too many came to mind. Chris Smither does a great job on "No Expectations", and I seem to recall Mary (Merry?) Clayton doing something from the "Gimmee Shelter" era, but nothing else.

Anyone else know of any Stones songs that were covered by other artists?
