Hey, I don't know what I'm getting in the middle of, but I'd like to go on record as saying that I'd believe the NY Times over Microsoft all day long. --- Heck, I'd believe PRAVDA over Microsoft. <g> -JCJ

No, I called the NYT possibly mistaken. But you seem to either think:

1) Gary falsely claimed to get a message from Microsoft; or

2) the NYT is correct and Microsoft is wrong (or you can substitute authoritative/unauthoritative for correct/wrong).

"Gary might be the most responsible person in the world, but I don't know him from adam."

That seems to indicate you lean towards (1).

The bottom line, though, is I don't care either way. Believe what you like. Believe everything you read in the newspaper. It's nothing to me.
