Well, after all, one has to get elected, eh? You know the story of George Wallace, don't you? He started out as a racial moderate, lost a key election to a racist demagogue, and vowed never to be "outni---ed" again. Well, even if they never went as far, seems the Gore boys learned a similar lesson about playing to win........

Someone should also ask Senator Hollings (then Governor Hollings) why he raised that notorious battleflag over the capitol in 1962. They keep asking Republicans about it. I don't know why, they had nothing to do with it.
