Hi Bill, >We need a two hundred and fifty point drop with true capitulation so I can invest the rest of the cash I have ( tongue in cheek per Ned Riley from First Boston ) ) .

We've already had a 2000 point drop on the Naz, so why do we need another 250???

Riley? Never believe anybody from Boston, especially an Irishman. Oops, I'm not Irish, no privileges, take that back.

Tony

Bill. Did you read my post to Brian? Well, if I had known that all I had to do is say: I had enough, this market can turn around now, I would have done this a lot earlier. But I will try to refrain from doing this again tomorrow.

Art Cashin just said it could be a bit early to throw the Spring clothes away and bring out the Summer clothes. But he thought this was a good start.

But we all know that the bears will now come out in full force on CNBC and say that we have to revisit the bottom again.

A little tidbit I heard on CNBC. Joe Kernan actually said that some of their guests will probably say that the market has to go down again because investors were not worried enough yet and did not capitulate. And then he said something like: Well, I don't know. I have seen quite a few of these guys walking around with pretty worried faces and some looked outright grim. If that's not capitulating, Joe said. And then Ron Insana interrupted with: Yeah, I actually got called by a broker yesterday and got balled out. He actually blamed me, or maybe he said us, for this downturn. I was actually very surprised about us getting blamed.

Wow, how could anybody accuse Ron and co. of fear mongering. They have absolutely nothing to do with it. After all, they are only reporting FACTS. gg.

Anyhow, we are probably very happy with todays ending. What a turnaround! The NAZ traded over 2 bill. shares. The China WTO vote coming up around this time had probably something to do with it also. It is supposed to be good for our techs.

I think I will give my cpt a rest tonight. It's the right thing to do after all this complaining. gg. Besides, it was a very good day considering that I was losing another shirt earlier. I am too low now to lose another Mercedes daily. gg.

I guess you have to wait at least until the morning if you want to pick up more stocks cheaper. But I am not rooting for you. gg.

BTW. Thanks for Ned Riley info. Like I said yesterday, I was not sure where he was from. BAC sounded alright but First Boston is ok too. gg. Maybe he will be a guest somewhere tonight or tomorrow morning.

Bill. I forgot to reply to your JPM guy message.

He probably doesn't get paid to investigate, more like making money for the house.

I am off now and will be staying off for the night unless I hear something real interesting. Hey, maybe we even get a good night sleep tonight. Come to think of it. I must have a lot of the wrong stocks. What's the saying when you can't sleep? But the same thing happens to me when the market goes up a lot. Then it's excitement that does not let me sleep. But the market has to go a lot higher before that scenario sets in.

How about this Intel? Um. My Vrsn was down over 7 and ended up over 8. I can take that.
