Sam,
Hi!!

Hey how ya been?

RE: Dell has invested in a number of emerging software companies. Its first, in March 1999, was in Red Hat, the leading seller of the Linux operating system. Dell Ventures plans $750 million in investments in the next year, chief executive Michael Dell has said.

Get a look at that number huh? Sound familiar? Let's see...Ask Patrick what sequential growth DELL will give us in investments by this time next year if DELL has the same returns it has had to date with the FIRST $700 Million...
:o)

BTW...Heard Linux is really gaining momentum...And the low cost servers that DELL can sell have tremendous advantages..Long story Sam...But, like Gladys Knight would say..."I heard it through the grapevine"...
Let's just say Michael's prediction 18 months or so ago concerning: "Exposing the server rip-offs of the past"...Well, things sounded great...

Best, Kemble
