Could be. I don't quite see how that contradicts my observation about visceral emotion preceding higher order emotion, though. I observe that when people think they deserve punishment, they accept it, when they think it is not deserved, they are angry. It is not just a question of whether or not someone does you harm, but the context in which it occurs. In one case, resignation or even relief, if the guilt is sufficient, in the other case anger. Sounds like a moral judgment is embedded in there somewhere........
