Another options question...hmmm, in my excitement to buy some Q LEAPS today I screwed up and bought them in my taxable account instead of my IRA.

I sold some QCOM OTM 2001 LEAPS a week ago to protect myself from margin probs if the market continued to dump and took a loss. Now then, if I buy back different strike LEAPS (2002's) before the 30 day wash sale thing can I still write off this previous loss this year? The IRS regulations are very foggy on this and do not specifically talk about this.

Hope you all hung in there today. We should be setting ourselves up for a super rally soon.
