Freeway, do you remember the Oklahoma land rush scene in "Far and Away"? Well the gun was just fired, and they are off.

Chinese entry into the WTO will proceed like greased lightening now. Kick out the jambs.

Just like Shannon's parents snuck out and got their plot of land early, so too the Taiwanese:

Today, history was made of THE highest order. Outside of war it just don't get any bigger than this. IMO, if the financial press wants the next hot sexy growth story - China is it. Slam dunk.

CHINA WILL BE THE ENGINE OF GROWTH IN ASIA FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.

Perhaps I should say Tsunami of growth. <g>

I believe the oil patch is going through a technically oriented rotation right now. When it is finished soon, buy everything in the patch you can get your greedy little mits on. E&P's, Drillers, Services, Fabs, etc. and so forth. Also buy commodity based stocks like PD - and GOLD. I also would take a look at international consumer non durables companies like PG and KO. If Sliders thesis that the fed is done hiking rates (for now), then it will be like striking a spark to a powder keg.

BTW The Aussie central bank signalled no more rate hikes for now. The first of the "Anglo" countries to signal such a move. Also the UK CB seems to be on hold for a while as well. I expect world wide growth to slow slightly in the next 2 qtrs., but not by much. Just enough to give a bit of rate relief. But not much.

For the longest time, I wondered, what on earth could make Don Wolanchuks, inflationary global boom scenario come true. Now it is clear to me. The answer is CHINA.

Get Wolanchukian, you will be happy. <vbg>
