Michael, Ciena produces a product line that can broadly be broken in to two discreet groups. The first is transmission, which includes long haul DWDM and the Metro DWDM offerings, and the second is switching, which includes the CoreDirector and the EdgeDirector. Both product lines, of course, use software which adds intelligence and scalability. The EdgeDirector has been a bit of disappointment so far. Perhaps because it may be a product slightly ahead of its time, or the cost may well be currently prohibitive. The CoreDirector, on the other hand, is the first product of its kind, and is receiving lots of kudos. Customers are lining up for this one, and it will be a truly exciting development for the company and the industry. Jack
