Rande Is,

As to my reference to daytrading, I'm merely trying to say that that "for now", it is the short-term quick in-and-out part of your hybrid trading (which to my understanding is NOT 1 minute for 1/8th point but rather several points for a much longer period of time in the day) that is happening right now when I read your thread. I apologize if I come across as unsympathetic but that is not my intention for I've been in that situation many times over. I know what it is like to be down and I also know the danger of market uncertainties which tend to create more whipsaws than we want to see.

That is why I bring up the possibility of an extended bear market (something like over 12 months) as opposed to the usual winter rally many have come to depend on. I don't argue your logical conclusion on why tech stocks will continue to move up because I agree we have barely begun. Perhaps, this occasional bear market we stumbled on may be a little more extended than we are hoping for is what I'm trying to say.

For all I know, I could be the biggest fool for even suggesting this scenario. I've been wrong so many times that I know I'm not perfect. I guess my point is that we must be careful from here and not to expect too much from one direction because, IMHO, the direction can go either way in the next 12 months.

Thanks for your response.

Best Regards,

FC

rande_ in regards to qcom call, i would have to rate it as just decent--if it was excellent, i would have bought it wednesday instead of tuesday--timing is everything, looks like i will still make money on it , but it could have been a triple instead of just a single-double <<ggg>>
now, do you have any feel for the talks about unicom pushing gsm instead of cdma now? that could derail this play quick, unicom has a roadshow starting monday, their plans should be revealed then, cdma seems to make a lot of sense from what i read technology wise, but im in no ways a techno nerd, ( i was kinda hoping you were and could give me a qualified opinion) <<gg>>
