Mark, why are the powers that be being so picky about the Black already? The Open there is still 13 months away? Actually 25 months away, Southern Hills next year. They have always been picky about closing all five courses after a rain but even more so about the Black and sometimes open the other four but keep the Black closed. A full time USGA representative is on the premises and they even built him an office. They have used some of the additional funds to improve the other four courses and they are all in great shape. I don't know what will happen after 2002 but enjoying the improved conditions while they last. Regards, Ken
