Re: This is correct in theory but in reality a little inflation has a positive effect on the economy. It's primarily psycological as people like to think they are getting ahead when they can sell their house for a profit etc.

Jim,

Selling a house only happens a few times a lifetime. I think the real benefit is getting a raise once or twice a year, even if it is only small.

As a matter of fact, I think he's behind the inflation curve if anything and his rate hikes are not pre-emptive...they are playing catch up.

I agree 100%. I also would have to say most economists agree too.

The problem is people don't want to hear it's necisary. So the few AG bashers are getting all the airtime giving the "common man" the illusion that AG is out of control.
