Well, that's an understatement if ever there was one. Incredible. I too have had a tough time keeping track. Sometimes just remembering the names is a chore. And when I'm confused due to the sheer number of players that have emerged - the bandwidth hawk that I am - then, that's a sure sign of an imminent shakeout -and or M&A consolidation- coming, just on the horizon. But I suspect that there will be even more players when standards begin to settle in place, just like there were with Ethernet devices due to the ease of entry when all one needs is to meet a minimum set of standards. Also, miniaturization through component integration, and silicon based optical systems will bring a lot of these things into commodity range faster than we had all imagined. Who'd 'v thought? FAC
