Either
because they are plugged into the network of broker news, or because they have a knack for
this kind of speculation. I don't have it. I do my thing which is value investing, and I poke along
with so so results.

I can't say I can play momentum investing. I am pretty poor at that. I speculate more than I had but with small positions. I am more conservative in total than I have been in the past since I placed funds in fixed assets.

We all know there is no logic for any
move in amzn's price. Why did it go down to 40, and then rise to 50 ? Might as well ask why
it rains someday and the next it is sunny.

I believe I can answer the last part better<G>

I'm sorry you're offended. But I do feel that the current momentum style is stupid, and there
is no need to pretend that I wish it's practitioners any success. The sooner it withers, the
better, as far as I'm concerned.

I am not offended just was wondering about the thinking. My speculative plays are not based on momentum since I do not use TA. I am trying to sort a few possible winning speculative plays out of likely thousands of losing plays. I made an assumption that may or may not have merit and that is AMZN at least has institutional backing. Candidly, I can't tell you why it does but my assumption is the institutions could know more than I so I speculate.

I have nothing against value investing and my value positions are mostly in value mutual funds.
